Matamata College — Year 13, intending to meet University Entrance by January 2026.
Currently studying Physics, Calculus, Chemistry, Digital Software & Hardware, and PE. I have focused on subjects that enhance analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills, providing a strong foundation for both engineering and film/TV production pathways.
I am the longest-serving employee at PLL, having maintained consistent dedication for over four years. My work involves independently washing stock trucks and milk tankers with precision and efficiency. This role has honed my time management, responsibility, and attention to detail, and has taught me the value of maintaining high standards in all tasks. Working independently has strengthened my problem-solving skills and self-discipline.
I am proficient in multiple programming languages including Python, HTML/CSS, some JavaScript, C++, C/Rust, and Assembly. I have practical experience in robotics and technology projects, and I enjoy designing, coding, and troubleshooting systems independently. My technical skills allow me to approach complex problems with creativity and efficiency.
I have hands-on experience with camera operation, photography, and video editing. I am proficient in software such as Premiere Pro, Resolve, and Photoshop, and have worked on personal and school projects to produce professional-looking content. I can plan, shoot, and edit projects independently, paying attention to detail, storytelling, and visual aesthetics.
I play hockey as a goalkeeper, which has developed my agility, quick decision-making, and effective communication under pressure. These skills translate well into both team-based and individual work environments. I am confident, disciplined, and capable of taking initiative in any project I undertake.
I have designed and programmed small-scale robotics projects, combining hardware and software skills to create functioning machines. These projects have required careful planning, logical problem solving, and iterative testing. My experience includes creating Python scripts to control hardware, experimenting with microcontrollers, and learning low-level programming in Assembly and C. These projects showcase my ability to merge theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
From tinkering with technology to experimenting with coding projects, I have consistently pursued hands-on experience outside the classroom. I enjoy building systems, learning new programming languages, and optimizing solutions. This passion for engineering is matched by a dedication to understanding complex systems and applying knowledge creatively to solve real-world problems.
I have developed strong skills in camera operation and photography, capturing visual stories with precision and creativity. My work includes both school projects and personal initiatives where I experiment with framing, lighting, and perspective to convey emotion and narrative. Attention to detail is key, and I strive to make every shot purposeful and engaging.
I am proficient in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve for video editing, as well as Photoshop for graphics and post-production enhancements. I have experience assembling footage, adding effects, and creating polished, professional final products. These projects demonstrate my ability to work independently, plan sequences, and tell compelling stories visually.
